24 January 2012
The Medical Fair India, India’s largest and most important exhibition for the medical industry on diagnostic, medical equipment and technology is characterised by its high level of national and international exposure.
Due to the size of the domestic market, the strong economic growth, increasing income and the huge backlog demand, India is one of the most important growth markets for medical technologies in the world. By 2013, the market is set to almost double from about $3 billion USD (2010) to $5 billion USD. The high dependence on imports, of over 60%, will provide the best opportunities for international medical technology companies in the future as well.
Medical device outsourcing industry is growing very fast in India because of favourable factors:
· Abundant engineering and scientific skills availability
· Growing organised sector medical device manufacturing, regulatory reforms etc
· Global companies are looking at India as a hub to undertake contract design, development, components manufacturing and packaging of medical devices
· The growing domestic market and ease of imports of raw material, equipments and technology also facilitates medical device outsourcing
Medical Fair India saw over 200 exhibitors at the 2010 edition of the show from 14 countries on an exhibition area of 2749sqm. Nearly 6,000 visitors attended the exhibition with numbers expected to increase for 2012.
ABHI would like to offer companies the opportunity to display literature on the UK stand at Medical Fair India. One literature slot entitles you to up to 100 pieces of A4 materials which will be displayed on a prime position on the stand and will be continually replenished throughout the show.
