With MedTech Expo UK 2013 due to take place at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on 10th & 11th April, Med-Tech Innovation is delighted to announce the extension of their brand into the major trade Expo.
There is currently no other 100% dedicated medical device manufacturing trade show in the UK and as the industry is so highly regulated and its research, design, development and manufacturing are so unique, Med-Tech Innovation Expo UK 2013 will meet the need for a specialist, 100% focused event.
Director of MedTech Communications Ltd, publisher of Med-Tech Innovation and organiser of the event, Colin Martin said, “Based on our industry research and given the robust state of the industry together with the emphasis, acknowledged importance and support by Government for the future growth of the industry, now is the right time to offer the industry an alternative event that is 100% focused and has the support of the co-branded magazine, web site and video channel behind it.”
The event launches with the full support of Medilink UK, which is a national health technology business support organisation, with a strong track record in increasing the viability of manufacturers, service providers, designers, OEMs and suppliers of medical technology.
Tony Davis, Chair of Medilink UK added, “In recent discussions between industry and BIS along with the DH industry branch on how the OLS life science strategy could potentially impact on the medical technology sector, Medilink UK along with ABHI, BHTA and BIVDA agreed to set up a “Medical Technology Manufacturing” strand of activity under the auspices of the Ministerial Medical Technology Strategy Group.
“Therefore Medilink UK sees the creation of the Med-Tech Innovation Expo UK 2013 medical focused manufacturing event, to be held in the Midlands, as an important and positive move towards raising the profile of medical technology manufacturing to the UK economy. Medilink UK will be encouraging members who are suppliers and from within the engineering community to make it a date in their diary for 2013.”
