Trek to Nepal anyone?

06 February 2012

BUPA Administrator Caroline McLachlan and her daughter Sarah Griffiths are trekking through Nepal in November this year, raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Macmillan Cancer Support make it possible for seriously ill cancer patients to be cared for at home where they can feel comfortable and be surrounded by their loved ones. This also allows the family to have a rest and a break, secure in the knowledge that the patient is being cared for in the best possible way.

This isn't Caroline's first fundraising trip overseas - 2 years ago she walked the Great Wall of China and raised £9000 so the bar has been set quite high! For this trip Sarah and Caroline are hoping to raise over £7000, and have had a fantastic response so far.

Caroline and Sarah's family have first-hand experience of the amazing care that Macmillan provides, and we would ask you all to dig deep and donate on their JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate -  raising more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
