The Office for Life Sciences (OLS) is a joint unit between the Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC) and Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

NEW – MHRA have received an increased number of enquiries about the use of 3D printing to manufacture medical devices and personal protective equipment (PPE) during the coronavirus pandemic.

NEW – There is now a CE marked SARS-CoV-2 Serology Quality Control (QC) reagent intended for use in diagnostic laboratories available from the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC). This complements the Institute’s SARS-CoV-2 serology research reagent. Please see the NIBSC website for more information.
