Martin Levermore takes the leap for Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 & Mercian Regimental Association – Support his fundraising campaign
On 26 August, Medilink Midlands Chair Martin Levermore MBE DL took to the skies, completing a tandem skydive at Hinton Airfield in Brackley to raise funds for two causes close to his heart: Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 and the Mercian Regimental Association, of which Martin is a lifetime member.
The Mercian Regiment, known as ‘The Heart of England’s Infantry’, was formed in 2007 and carries forward the traditions and heritage of regiments from across the Midlands, including the Staffordshire Regiment. Martin’s support for the Mercian Regimental Association reflects his long-standing connection as a lifetime member.
Martin is also a Trustee of Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, which will bring wounded, injured and sick serving and veteran personnel from around the world to Birmingham in July 2027.
For Medilink Midlands, the Games also provide an important opportunity to connect the health, care and innovation community with the wider focus on warrior care. Medilink Midlands is an official delivery partner for the Warrior Care Conference, taking place at The Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham on 12–13 July 2027 alongside the Games. The conference will bring together leaders from defence, healthcare, rehabilitation, technology and innovation to explore the future of warrior care.
With these shared connections to the Games and the Armed Forces community, Martin is calling on the life sciences and medtech community to get behind his fundraising challenge.
